Fat Daddy's has some of the hottest bands in Fort Worth. Everyone from Vanilla Ice to local bands like Incognito have all played at Fat Daddy's. We went a couple of times. If there is no band don't bother going. We went on a Thursday when the DJ was just spinning videos and music. There were about 15 people there. It wasn't worth the time, so we left to go to Bar 9. We planned to go see Spazmatics one Friday night, but with a $15 cover, we decided not to go. We did make it to see Incognito for a $10 cover. The band was really good. When we pulled up to GingerMan, I really didn't know what to expect. The building was very...odd looking to say the least. However, as soon as we walked in the door, I was on my way to falling in love. This place was built to look and feel like an old style pub. There is no better way to describe the atmosphere here. The bar is right in front of you when you walk in the door with plenty of bartop seating. There are some benches and tables just inside the front doors. Off to the left of the entrance is another area with some tables and seating and a jukebox with some of the most eclectic...
This is a freaking cool-ass nightclub! Not only does it have a swanky feel and trendy scene, theres no cover! And I'm always a huge fan of that! This is actually a very unique spot, being three stories which include a basement danceclub, the ground level nighclub, and an upstairs area which is "seperated" into different rooms with a "VIP" feel to it.
Night: Friday The Library is an excellent place to go in Sundance Square. It is also one of the most, if not the most popular spots in the Square. And it shows. Close to midnight, a line forms 15-20 people deep waiting to get in. The place is setup with a square bar in the middle and booths against one wall, tables against one wall, pool tables against one, and two arcade machines and bathrooms against the other wall. There is also a small outdoor area that faces Houston Street. There are 3 pool tables. Their pool sticks suck though. You'd have to get there early to get the good ones. There is also a small...
This is the new and improved Pour House. It has relocated to 2725 W. 7th Street (right across the street from Poag Mahones-review coming soon) from it's rather dive-bar-like location on Sundance Square. This is a much nicer place. It's no longer the dive bar it once was. Now it's more of a college club/bar. We showed up on a Wednesday night. I have had a tough time finding a place to chill on Wed's other than Flying Saucer, but this place was pretty busy for a weeknight. On the weekends, it is probably packed. The location is great.
